Andrew Cuff
Andrew Cuff is the Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Strategic Communications. As ODNI’s lead for the Office of Strategic Communications, he ensures that internal and external messaging effectively and consistently communicates national security priorities to policymakers and the American people.
Prior to joining ODNI, Cuff was the Chief Speechwriter to Secretary of Education Linda McMahon and held the responsibility for articulating the Secretary’s agenda in all spoken and written communications for a broad array of audiences across the country.
Before working in government, Cuff was a Senior Policy Analyst and Senior Fellow at the America First Policy Institute, primarily focusing on education while contributing to additional policy research in the fields of trade, immigration, economic growth, and national security.
He also previously served as Communications Director for the brand consultancy Beck & Stone, whose client base includes Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and contractors, academic and research institutions, and political campaigns.
Cuff was formerly a professor of history and academic administrator. He earned his PhD from The Catholic University of America in 2018. He lives in Maryland with his wife and five children.
