Jason Klitenic

Jason Klitenic is the General Counsel for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.  Mr. Klitenic was sworn in on August 6, 2018, following unanimous confirmation by the United States Senate.  As chief legal officer of ODNI, Mr. Klitenic is responsible for overseeing legal matters arising within the agency, as well as coordinating legal issues throughout the Intelligence Community.


Prior to his appointment, Mr. Klitenic was a partner at the law firm of Holland & Knight LLP.  Earlier in his career, he held senior government positions, including serving as the first Deputy General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Deputy Associate Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice.  


Mr. Klitenic received his J.D. from University of Baltimore School of Law and B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, where he was an NCAA All-American baseball player.
