Behind the scenes, safeguarding national security, works a team with an extensive history of operating in secrecy and known for their unwavering dedication to protecting the nation and its people—the United States Intelligence Community (I.C.).

Members of the Intelligence Community (IC) celebrated IC Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Day on May 22 by hosting an event at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) that sought to discuss DEIA principles and honor the IC individuals and teams advancing them.

In the summer of 2022, Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Strategic Communications Tim Barrett saw an opportunity to harness one of ODNI’s powers--to bring in talent from across the IC--offering a win-win for IC communications officers and for ODNI Strategic Communications.

 

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has begun the search for a new president of the National Intelligence University (NIU). ODNI seeks an individual who will provide visionary leadership to ensure the university prepares the next generation of Intelligence Community (IC) leaders.

On January 18, 2023, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines participated in the panel, “Restoring Security and Peace,” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Fareed Zakaria from CNN moderated the panel, which also included North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg; President of Poland Andrzej Duda; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Canada Chrystia Freeland; and First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
