According to the Fiscal Year 2020 Intelligence Community Annual Demographic Report, only 11% of the Intelligence Community identifies as persons with disabilities across all pay grades.

That percentage is even smaller, at 7.7% when looking at people with disabilities who serve at the senior executive level - one of the highest positions below political appointees in the federal government.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines late Friday convened the Joint Intelligence Community Council (JICC) to promote and strengthen coordinated Intelligence Community support to the existing interagency efforts to address anomalous health incidents (AHI) affecting U.S. Government personnel and their families. The JICC is a statutory body that assists the Director in developing and implementing a joint, unified national intelligence effort to protect national security. In addition to the Council's statutory members, the Director invited additional Intelligence Community components to participate in the meeting.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines today issued the following statement:

“I am thrilled to welcome Dr. Stacey Dixon back to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as our Principal Deputy. Dr. Dixon is an absolutely extraordinary leader who combines integrity, intelligence, and empathy in everything that she does. Her deep knowledge of intelligence tradecraft, her experience in intelligence-related technological innovation, and her appreciation of the critical work that intelligence professionals perform every day will serve us well at this critical moment in our history. Quite simply, I cannot imagine a better person to partner with in leading the Intelligence Community.”
