For the 12th consecutive year, the Intelligence Community (IC) has been named as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government.” The IC ranked second overall among large federal agencies with more than 15,000 full-time permanent employees. This ranking is up from third since 2019 and is the IC’s highest ever.

Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines today issued the following statement:

“Congratulations to Christy Abizaid on her confirmation as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). We are incredibly excited to welcome her to the team. Christy is well-known and respected in the counterterrorism community, and I can think of no one better to lead NCTC during this critical period. Christy brings a command of counterterrorism issues, leadership acumen, thoughtfulness, and enterprising approach that will enable her to effectively steer the Intelligence Community’s work on these issues and lead the CT mission into the future. We are fortunate to have Christy serving in this critical position, and I look forward to working with her to protect our nation.”
