WASHINGTON, D.C. – Statement from Amanda Schoch, assistant director of national intelligence for strategic communications: “Today, Acting DNI Richard Grenell shared the following personnel announcements effective April 3: Lora Shiao will be the next deputy director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) and will serve as the acting director pending the Senate confirmation of a permanent director. Additionally, Clare Linkins will serve as NCTC’s next executive director, performing the duties of deputy director."

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, U.S. Attorney General William Barr, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf, Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray, U.S. Cyber Command Commander and National Security Agency Director Gen. Paul Nakasone, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Christopher Krebs today released the following joint statement:

 

“Tomorrow, millions of voters in more than a dozen states and territories will cast their votes in presidential primaries. ‘Super Tuesday’ will see more Americans head to the polls than any other day of the primary season. We continue to work with all 50 states, U.S. territories, local officials, political parties and private sector partners to keep elections free from foreign interference.

When I assumed the duties and responsibilities of the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence last September, I did so with enormous respect and admiration for the women and men of the Intelligence Community (IC). I was humbled to work alongside Joe Maguire, a lifelong patriot and public servant, and serving the community in this role has been the honor of my career."
