The Office of the Program Manager, Information Sharing Environment (PM-ISE), on behalf of the President, recently released its annual assessment of the Information Sharing Environment through a report to the Congress.

The Department of Justice has released additional information contained within Inspectors General reports on the President’s Surveillance Program (PSP). The additional information concerns the presidential documents that authorized the inception and implementation of the program.

On August 27, 2015, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court issued a Primary Order approving the government’s application to renew the Section 215 bulk telephony program.

The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), today announced the winners of its speech recognition challenge, Automatic Speech recognition in Reverberant Environments (ASpIRE). The winning teams from the Johns Hopkins University, Raytheon BBN Technologies, the Institute for Infocomm Research, and Brno University of Technology will share $110,000 in prizes.

I strongly endorse President Obama’s nomination of Marcel Lettre to be the next Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. This is a position I know well, and I believe Marcel is exceptionally qualified to serve in this important post.
