Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence Susan M. Gordon visited The University of Texas at Austin for the UT Intelligence Studies symposium on March 28, 2019. She stopped by the LBJ School to talk with Dean Angela Evans about emerging technologies and an evolving intelligence community, as well as private-public partnerships with tech sectors.

Much like the Defense Department, the federal intelligence community wants to further diversify its workforce by promoting the hiring of those with disabilities. According to recent guidance, intel agencies will focus more on hiring and retention as well as IT modernization, to meet the needs of disabled employees.

The road to successful implementation of next-generation technologies as part of digital transformation is paved by cloud adoption.

IC ITE’s “Second Epoch”

The Intelligence Community (IC) is entering the “second epoch” of its Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE), IC chief information officer John Sherman said earlier this month in his remarks at USGIF’s GEOINTeraction Tuesday event hosted by OGSystems.
