Statement by Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper on the Signing of the Intelligence Authorization Act for FY 2012

Yesterday, the President signed the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 into law. Congressional oversight of intelligence is not only essential
in our democracy, but also important to the effective and efficient operations of our Intelligence Community. We worked closely with the congressional committees
on this authorization act, and the Intelligence Community looks forward to continuing our frequent and transparent interactions with the oversight committees.
Intelligence Community in top-ten 'Best Places to Work' in federal government
 
For the third consecutive year, the Intelligence Community (IC) was honored Nov. 16 as one of the top-ten 'Best Places to Work' in the
federal government, ranking eighth overall among 33 large agencies. The rankings were compiled by the Partnership for Public Service and measure federal workers'
job satisfaction and commitment. Stephanie O'Sullivan, the principal deputy director for national intelligence, accepted the award on behalf of the entire IC.
